"Not far for you," Mal calls back good naturedly, as he readjusts the pack and picks up the pace. The months had certainly toughened him and made him more capable of fending for himself. However, hiking with supplies was another matter, he was more than a little red in the face. Far from complaining, the more exhausted he felt, the more determined he became.
